How To: Race Week Prep
Summary
Here’s the TL;DR:
Pre-ride: Wear your pre-ride plate when pre-riding on Friday, September 14th. If you need another one see the registration tent. Pre-riding opens at 3pm and closes around 6:45pm. This is the last time you will be allowed to start a pre-ride lap. Keep in mind you can pre-ride up until Thursday at 7pm.
Bring Race Plates: Don't forget them! $10 replacements are available at the registration tent. Don’t forget your race bibs (goes on jersey, can get a free replacement though).
Volunteering for the league: Every family must volunteer at least once. Lots more volunteers needed for this race. Signup to be a volunteer.
Volunteering for the team: We need lots of help! Checkout our signup genius link to volunteer.
Drop off at Johson’s home: 2149 West 1235 South, Lehi on Thursday.
Pit Zone: Remember to always walk your bike while in the Pit Zone!
Pit Zone setup around 4:00pm on Friday.
Pit Zone take down around 4:30pm on Saturday.
Please come help, many hands make light work.
When to Arrive (10:05am for all but Varsity/JVA):

Be in the Pit Zone ready to race 1 hour prior to your start time.
Check-In: Riders must have race plates, bibs, and staging numbers on their arms. Late arrivals start at the back.
Team Support: Only riders and team volunteers are allowed stay in the Pit Zone. No dogs at the race. However, please stop by to say hi!
Riders Should Bring: Bike (ready to race), helmet, bottles, shoes, sunglasses, full kit, tools, food/snacks, and water.

GENERAL INFO
Due to the small size of the Pit Zone area, ONLY riders and race day team volunteers (league volunteers, food committee, feed zone, finish line & staging) will be allowed to stay in the area. That being said, feel free to stop by briefly and say "hi" to your rider and take a few pictures!
Sorry, but NO DOGS ALLOWED AT THE RACES!
FOOD (for riders and volunteers only):
Please sign up (signup genius) for a side item to share with the team, preferably something healthy.
Families can either bring food for themselves or drive into Vernal for food. There will be several food vendors at the venue.
Snacks served all day, LUNCH from 11am-3pm. At 4pm, once all the riders have been taken care of, feel free to swing by and grab any left over lunch (just ask a volunteer). We usually have a lot of extra food!
TEAM VOLUNTEERS
Thank you in advance for those that will volunteer to help the team on Saturday.
Sign up using the Sign-up Genius link: This will be sent at the same time as the food assignments (usually the week before the race). Those that volunteer (league or team) for the day may eat with the team. You can also volunteer the day of the race if you don't know your schedule yet. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help!
Pitzone setup/take down: The Lehi JD team will help with setup the night before (usually 4-5pm), but if you are around, please stop by and help out. Take down will occur after all the races start at 4:30 pm.
Photography: Please upload photos to a shared GOOGLE photo album (invites will be sent out) immediately after the race. Post any pics you take with your cell phone or fancy camera. Here's who signed up to take pics at the races: Rand Blair, Ethan Adams, Wells Holmes (let a coach know if you want to help out!)
Feed Zone: With several volunteers, it makes it easy to run and allows you to leave the area to watch you riders race. Sign up for 1-2 or all race waves. Katie Hellewell and Jason Poe can provide professional level tutorials in person.
Staging Area: This is to be sure riders get to the right areas to start their races. We usually need more help for staging, so if interested, please contact Shelby or Aaron Wilkinson before the race or on race day.
Finish Line: This is where you help out with the racers as they finish to make sure they are ok, grab their bike, and help them sit and recovery for a few minutes. See Emerson Silva about volunteering for this.
